MACHINE MUSE exhibition artist | DALIA DORON
Art is a universal human phenomenon that defies the boundaries of culture, society, people, and place. AI is a human developed progressive tool. It’s a game changer for people’s life thus for art too, Moreover, it is an undertaking that allows for a great deal of personal freedom if used properly. I believe that in light of the overwhelming proliferation and intensification of such formidable social phenomena as war, disease, crime, and other moral challenges, AI and art also serves to illuminate and emphasize these ills. In a world where news and information spread as quickly as wildfire, art can make us pause for just a moment to observe, think, and perhaps even recognize and consider phenomena that previously were not our concern. The combination of art and AÍ, like Apps we use, like social networks that feeds us with knowledge, fake news, hidden messages are all effecting our inspiration thus important in shaping thought and no doubt even shifting attitudes. I am interested and influenced deeply by the phenomenon of refugees and immigration by boats all over the world. Desperate people fleeing their homes in order to survive and seek better lives for them and their families. My art is dedicated to this subject in recent years.
My name is Dalia Doron. For many years, I worked in in the field of formal education. After earning my doctorate degree in educational systems management from Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest, I served as the principal of the Mevo’ot Yam school in Mikhmoret, Israel. Within this role, I spent five challenging years working with underachieving boarding school students with low self-esteem. By the end of my time in the position, I had ensured that class graduates succeeded in their studies, were accepted into the naval officer’s course, and accomplished a range of impressive personal achievements. An important part of my goals was the assimilation of first steps of AI. Human society using AI has come a long way since those first steps. I use chatGPT to help me realize my thoughts. I have been in the field of glass art for the last 15 years. My art was selected to the I International Biennale of Glass in Bulgaria and at the Times Square Billboard “Exploring the World” exhibition. My work is presented also in Contemporary Glass Society “Expanding the Boundaries” exhibition. I took part in three exhibitions in my country as well.
